Fonts Kurte paper: Cut the tax, ready to organise summit in Paris for agreement with Serbia

State Secretary Mike Pompeo sent a letter to Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti today, in which he asked him to lift the fee on Serbian goods. But this is not the only one. A letter containing the same content Kurt received from French President Emmanuel Macron, writes Reporter. This letter has [...]
As reports France24News, this letter came yesterday from French Ambassador to Kosovo Marie Christine Bultel, who brought Kurt a letter signed by President Emmanuel Macron, congratulating him for taking office of prime minister after several months of talks between his party Vetevendosje and the Democratic League of Kosovo, LDK.
In his letter, Macron writes that normalised reports between Kosovo and Serbia are “a major challenge to Kosovo's future and a challenge to the security of Europe”.
“The first step should be to resume the dialogue [EU-led], which I am willing to facilitate by organising in Paris, soon, a summit with the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia, along with the [German] Chancellor. [Angela] Merkel and EU High Representative [Joseph] Borrell” said he broadcasts the Reporter.
“The adoption of dialogue implies actions by both sides: suspending the 100 per cent tariffs from Kosovo and suspending Serbia's campaign for non-recognition of Kosovo,” added Macron to the letter.
Mike Pompeo has already welcomed the creation of the new government in Kosovo, but has insisted on what are the immediate needs to be realised.
I welcome Kosovo's citizens for successful and demographic elections. We welcome the formation of the Government of Kosovo and expect to work together, to precede common goals in economic growth, rule of law and normalisation of reports with Serbia”, the American secretary's letter begins.
We welcome your commitment to fight corruption until you try to support the aspirations of the people of Kosovo, including their desire for greater transparency and economic opportunities. Now is the time to understand that the overall normalisation of the reports with Serbia, focused on mutual recognition, is essential for Kosovo's full international integration. The United States will stand by your side in support of this” process, Pompeo wrote.
He writes away that the United States of America expects Kurt to remove the tax on Serbian products and that's his priority.
The tax gap on Serbian and Bosnian products would help the parties return to the negotiating table. We hope and expect that this will be your priority and that you will use the moment created by letters intended to establish air and railway connections between Pristina and Belgrade”.
“We expect to work closely with your new Government to ensure the prosperity of a multiethnic and democratic Kosovo”.
