Prestreshi wrote on Facebook that the concept of rising prices when demand increases is when supply is constant or equal.
“Whether the supply is constant or same a high request allows it to be a higher price. An increase in demand will create a price increase if the supply is near constant. (MIKRO)”, he says, while warning that if mask suppliers are agreed to raise the price, then investigations will begin.
“If all mask suppliers have been written or co-ordinated to set or fix the prices of this product, then the Kosovar Competition Authority will immediately start monitoring and investigating this phenomenon. The price fixing, the unable to select consumers to choose the product according to preferences, also this type of obsession from the perspective of competition policies is considered “cartel”, which is one of the most serious forms of violation of the Law for the Protection of Competitiveness”, says Prestreshi.
