A virus needs living cells to spread. This is the opinion of Massimo Andreoni, professor of infectious diseases at Rome's “Tor Vergata” University.
The smartphone can be a tool to transmit resistant microbes, or it is a virus that needs living cells to reproduce. We should be careful when we link it to the coronary problem; rather, it makes sense in health - care infections. Just as doctors are used to disinfecting the stethoscope and the equipment of blood pressure, certainly if they treat patients with very resistant microbes, there are specific precautions that need to be taken, such as gloves, handwashing, and not using the telephone if your hands are uninfected, so that the device does not pollute”, Andrew, who is also the scientific director of the Italian Association of Infectious and Parasian Diseases, explains.
