Cops get checked over and over again, people with psychic problems get guns.

Security Affairs Director Nuredin Ibishi says of Online Economy that although police officials expose the risk of life to the service of the people, they can also pose risks if they have psychic problems.

So it's not just that police officials are exposed to eternal danger because of our lives, body and health. At the same time, however, they may pose a danger even if they do not have a good mental state, whether they are under stress, under shock, anxiety, or a different psychic situation, he said.

According to Ibisch, police officials must constantly do checks, not just when their admission is made.

It is not enough when the admission of police officials passing on psychologists and other psychological treatments is not enough, but even during the service they should always be in check”, he stressed.

Ibishi says police officials who have facts that have psychic-type problems should immediately suspend and take up arms.

“There is no excuse; it should automatically be suspended or employed on civilian staff, or something else he should by no means have access to weapons”, says Ibishi.

And because of psychic problems, a Kosovo Police official, a few years ago had not returned from firing to work.

Deputy Chairman of the Kosovo Police Union Bajram Tasholli tells of Online Economy that doctors had found that the same one can no longer be returned to work.

Although Kosovo Police Chief Rashit Qalaj days ago has indicated that about 100 Kosovo police officers have health problems, including those with psychic problems, Tashlo says there are some policemen who have psychiatric problems, but he has not given a precise number.

However, Tashol says that those individuals do not represent a degree of social risk unless such is proved by the doctor.

“That's not a good number, but we do. So let's not say 10, 20, but there's a number. Two for the opinion are a lot, but it's not that degree of risk they can pose because they're part of our society, they have to work somewhere to live. It's important that when the doctor assumes you don't dare carry the gun, he won't carry the gun, and it's all a doctor's procedure on how to run that person”.

According to Tasholl, police officers who have psychiatric problems have been treated by the medical team, who have later concluded that they should change their jobs and not carry the gun.

As for the police who are psychologically ill, they have been treated by our own health team and others, and have found that they have to be replaced by the workplace so that they don't wear the uniform, don't carry the gun, and have no easy work, and no contact with uniform or gun that the last word for this always gives the doctor, which is his degree that he can heal”, he indicated.

Tasholli points out how unions have sought to have disability pensions for police officials who have different health problems.

As a union, we've always been asking to have a disability pension because unfortunately, in the police, we have cops who are 50 years old and have body injuries, legs, clouds, rings and rings that would have a disability pension”, he indicated.

The Kosovo Police Information Office suggests that the number of officials with serious health problems is around 120 police officials, including informed and civilian personnel.

According to the PK, there are about 20 officials who are not allowed to carry official weapons because of psychological problems.

“The number of police officials released from the official weapon because of the health problems of psychological nature is a total of 20 officials, out of this number (4) officials, found in the medical vacation classified as the special health case”, the KP response reported.
