Kurti has said that as the chief executive of the country, he will lead the Kosovo side in talks with the Serbian side in an effort to reach a final peace agreement.
He has expressed himself willing to talk with Serbian officials, whether Belgrade formally apologises for the genocide in Kosovo.
I'm going to sit at the table with Serbs, even without apologizing to”, Kurti declared on KTV on Wednesday.
Kurti has also said he could meet in the past with top Serbian officials, but meetings have not occurred, because the “at haven't come”.
He has recalled that at a table organised by the East-West Institute, held early in December, he had to be on the panel with Serbia's Prime Minister Anna Brnabyq, but she did not go to attend.
Kurti has shown that even a confrontation with Aleksandar Vuciqi has failed because of the Serbian president.
We were supposed to be at dinner with senior American and German officials in Berlin... but the Serbian president did not come. It was in Moscow”, Kurt said.
“I have expressed the timeline of readiness (for the meeting), those who have arrived”, the Kosovo prime minister has declared.
