Over 200 thousand citizens have directly benefited from KED's investments conducted during 2019. This year has been the period with mostly realisation of Kosovo-level investment projects since the start of the company's operation.
The focus of investments was on locations where the inherited status of the distributive network was in a more serious position. In particular, the largest number of projects were recovered in Podujevo, Drenas, Pristina, Ferizaj, Decani, Fushe-Kosovo and Gjakova.
KEDS in these regions has implemented major investment projects that directly affect stable quality supply for family and business economies in these areas. The power grid in these locations already has a different view, on higher standards.
The total cost of implementing these projects amounts to 16.6m euros, out of them over 11m euros, is for low blood pressure and over 5.5m euros for medium tension.
This has resulted in over 1200 miles of new networks of all kinds of distributive network, including the deployment of some 400 traphos.
KED has made a lot of investments in Kosovo's power grid system since the privatisation of the distribution, and this has markedly affected the quality and supply of regular electricity.
KEDS has undertaken for 15 years to invest 300m euros.
KEDS for 6 years has invested 146m euros. It has implemented 714 investment projects in the low- and medium-tensity network and 816 projects in network reinforcement and maintenance. During this period, 140 thousand consumers or over half a million Kosovo citizens directly benefited.
