Father Sergiy, whose real name is Nikolai Romanov, received attention earlier this year when he denied the existence of the coronary pandemic and expressed himself against the church closure as protective measures.
He took control of the Sredneuralsk monastery, near Yekaterinburg in June, and from that time turned down orders from the Russian Orthodox Church and the authorities to leave.
Dressed in long dark garments, he was officially expelled from the church in September for ignoring the command to prevent him from performing services and preaching.
The last few days have emerged and images of his arrest, where a large number of police officers enter the monastery where they faced and a resistance.
According to the newspaper “Kommersant”, Father Sergiy has been charged with pushing some minors into suicide. The charge against him is thought to have been filed after a video in YouTube, where he appears as he calls on followers “die for Russia”.
