The title of “Cerrie dello Sports” yesterday was “O Ray (King) is Ronaldo / Portuguese exceeds Pele's record for goals at the official (4)x3> games. With relative classification:
1. Cristiano Ronaldo ue 758 goals
2. Pelé é 757 goals
3. Romerio 735 goals.
“Gazzetta dello Sport”: His “Height CR7 / Pelé'sdge is approaching”. On the side, this order:
1. Bican 805 goals
2. Romario 772 goals
3. Pelé 767 goals
4. Ronaldo 756 goals.
An explanation is needed because there are different ranks on the same issue. “Cerrie dello Sport” relates this and makes the following clarification: Most Italian newspapers have believed and continue to believe in “rsf.com”, a page run by a foundation of football statistics. But that page, titled “The best performers at all times (official points)” is old, incomplete, and certainly not in line with the ever-changing data of Cristiano Ronaldo.
So calculations must be updated. Why is the old classification? Vladimir Col, the curator, says the data for Bican had entered their site in 2009. Meanwhile, according to his research, the goals of the Vienna-born attacker have become at least 940. Why isn't the data complete? Paralysing, with more than 1,000 goals “formal”, would pass German Erwin Helmchen, who was not included in that ranking but only on a small note ( perhaps 800 goals).
Why are rankings incompatible? Among the 772 Romario goals are 11 marked with Brazil U-20 and 8 others with the Olympic National. So why would Cristiano Ronaldo's goals be “just” 756? Italian media say we arrive at that total, simply consulting the Italian site of Wikipedia, where CR7 data is accurate; adding 654 goals with clubs and 102 goals with Portugal. But, CR7 also scored 2 goals with the Portuguese Olympic national and 1 goal with U-20 (aside from 3 goals with U-21). Such consideration is sufficient to remove any value from other rankings.
