The clash between the two came after Jeremic's statement of electricity supply to the northern part of Kosovo.
Jeremic said the power supply in the northern part could be halted today.
Petkovic has reacted to this statement, calling it an absolute lie.
Even the director of the so-called office for Kosovo says that Jeremic would undoubtedly want such a scenario.
Petkovic further said Jeremic has never worked for Serbia's interests and, according to him, was confirmed when he created additional confusion about the power supply in northern Kosovo.
Jeremic's “interests certainly coincide with Pristina's interests, which equally wants to cause panic and confusion among Serbs in the north of Ibrit”, Petkovic said in a statement.
“Jeremic and Pristina placed us between the two fires, playing as a team and for Kosovo's self-declared interest, and this is not the first time they have done this”, he said.
“The issue of power supply in Kosovo's north has been the object of long and painful EU-mediated talks between Belgrade and Pristina, and we have been and remain committed to the agreements reached, but Pristina has not implemented its obligations on this issue, so there is no reason for the “until it does, everything changes in the field,” he added.
