After 19 years as a professional with Chelsea, Terry left Istanbul Bridge with five of Premier Legers' titles. He also won five times FA Cup and was part of the London team in triumphs in the League Champions and Europe League.
But when we think about his last fight for the club, what happened that day is almost unbelievable.
Chelsea had already won the title at Premier League and was playing home against the last place, Sunderland.
Terry started the game from the first minute but then, in the 26th minute, the meeting without waiting to stop and the Chelsea players formed the honour guard to bid farewell to the legendary captain.
It's extraordinary to think that this happened in a competition match at Premier League.
Sunderland was playing for pride at the time, but he didn't mind doing that.
Why the 26th minute? Well, that was Terry's fan number.
