Betim Fazliji ready for Kosovo for World Qualifications

Kosovo on March 28th and March 31st plays its first qualifying matches for the 2022 World, Sweden at home and Spain on travel. And Fazliji is expected to be Kosovo's first reinforcement for those matches, but all other qualifying matches for the 2022 World.

Earlier this year, Fazliji decided to play for Kosovo, though he was on the U-21 Swiss plans. He was even invited to the October games but had not been discouraged. He had earlier made it known that by November he will be part of Kosovo. And so it was. The 21-year-old debuted in friendly towards Albania, played on November 11th. But there was no complete documentation to compete for matches against Slovenia and Moldova, which were the last in the second edition of the UEFA League of Nations. Among other things, there has been no Kosovo passport.

I received Kosovo's passport several days ago and also ID. Even the documentation at UEFA is being completed. So I will be available to Kosovo for the March month matches. With the passport taken, there are no more obstacles for me to play for Kosovo at the official fight”, Betim Fazliji said on Friday evening in a talk about Time.

I am so glad that I have decided on Kosovo. I feel great about the decision. I've been in constant contact with Switzerland's assistant sector and the director of the Swiss representative. I've been told to wait because I can also be a candidate for Swiss Vice President A. But I told them I decided. I've put it where my heart has run the hardest”, Fazliji added. He has waited very well in Kosovo. It says that on the first day it felt as if part of Kosovo were long.

Kosovo is in a difficult group for the world, but Fazliji is optimistic.

It's a strong group, but we're hoping the situation will be passed on to COVID-19. If all the players come in and if we play with viewers, then the qualifications are possible”, says Kosovo defender.
