Madeleine Albright is one of the most beloved American figures in Kosovo. She has gone to the Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives to talk about politics for the Western Balkans today. She believes Kosovo should be a normal country, and that Serbia does not have [...]
She believes that our country should be considered a normal country as part of the international system and has the right to protect its territory.
Kosovo should be a normal country as part of the international system and respect all international rights to protect the territory and this should not be subject to veto by Belgrade,” said Mrs. Albright, former secretary of state.
Albright expressed her pride in trying for the United States to intervene militarily in Kosovo and Bosnia two decades ago.
The American politician says this intervention caused the bloodshed being caused by Serbia to stop.
The “have spent more than two decades since the United States of America's intervention in Kosovo and next week we will mark 25 years of the Dayton Agreement, I believe that the US and Allies do the right thing to stop bloodshed and when they ask me about my achievements, I talk about my efforts in Bosnia and Kosovo”, Albright said.
She added further that she strongly believes the new US president, Joe Biden, has a new alternative to the Balkans and the situation the countries are going through.
