Berisha, who is the son of former Kuved chairman Kole Berisha, has said he will not publish the reasons for his resignation.
In addition, Berisha says that this government, with the signing of the agreement in Washington, has committed the most patriotic act in the past ten years.

I am officially no longer part of the Kosovo Prime Minister's Office. The reasons are mine and they will remain. I feel good about my efforts and my achievements through that office.
The principles, the loyalty to the Republic and equality have been the ones that have motivated me to be part of the political project for months. I'm taking the same stuff with me without changing anything in them.
I continue to believe that this government has done one of the most patriotic acts in the last 10 years, in defense of Kosovo's sovereignty, signing the Washington Agreement!
