Until this period of time, Smith has demanded that the material be ready and the appreciation of the one who needs to be edited and otherwise, in order to proceed with publication.
“56. In determining the deadline for publishing material according to rule 102 (1)a, the Pre-Procedure Procedure Court Judge takes into consideration: (i) the documents submitted by the parties, in particular the proposal to accept witness in groups as soon as possible; (ii) the time needed to decide about the request of the Prosecutor's Office Specialised for safeguards; (ii) the time needed for the Prosecutor's Office to apply the revisions, if offered, and to prepare the public material; (i) the time for the Special Office to identify the material that does not require an immediate review of the 30-day term. Therefore, it is appropriate to set the date of December 11, 2020, as the last deadline for completing the publication of the material under the Rule 102 (1)).” says at the 56th point of the document bearing the Jack Smith signature, which has also been published on the Special Court's official page with the appointment of “The framework decision to detect evidence and related issues to”, Express reports.
But what is provided to be published according to the 102nd Law of Special Chambers.
The Special Prosecutor's Proposal, based on the Law, has the right to make public: statements by all witnesses who plan to testify, all statements of other witnesses, expert reports, statements or transcripts that the Special Prosecutor intends to appear in court, additional statements by specialised prosecution witnesses on the decision to call those witnesses, and the exhibition that the Special Prosecutor intends to submit to the trial.
Other documents have been published on the Special Court's official page. Chief Prosecutor Smith has also released his letter in which he reasoned on why the former political leader of KLA11), Hashim Thaci, must be arrested and deployed at The Hague detention centre.
As Smith predicted, the confirmed charges could lead Thaci to a life sentence, and according to him, that is why Thaci should be arrested, since he claims he can be driven to flee or commit other crimes as soon as he finds out the burden of the charges.
