Bekim Junik of Gjakova's 16th birthday was celebrated on front lines, when as a very young man had joined the Kosovo Liberation Army.
Confessing his personal history of wartime in Kosovo, this former soldier of The KLA has shown how it had left home to join the country's liberation battle, while leaving a letter to parents with which it informed them that it had decided to wear the KLA uniform and that it does not return to its path afterwards.
The video with this extraordinary confession has been published by renowned Albanian photographer Fadil Berisha.
“LIRIA KAMA: Bekim Yunik had celebrated her 16th birthday on front lines as a soldier of the Kosovo Liberation Army. To go to war, he had fled home. Sister had a letter to inform her parents that he does not return. Shortly thereafter, his father would become a fellow warrior. This is an extraordinary story for young men who left everything for Kosovo's liberation. Share this video. #Liria KaEmer” has gone Fadil Berisha.
Former soldier of The NLA, Bekim Yunik, also relates that it was with his father later in the war.
The father-son relationship made a peace effort. It was a kind of pride. Although I was very young, I felt that I was roasting before the meal. I left a lot stronger”, he says.
