The head of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro, Amfilohije, was buried on Sunday in the salt of Christ's Resurrection Cathedral in Podgorica.
The Amfilohije Metropolitan passed away on Friday, October 30th, at Montenegro's Clinical Centre (KCCG) due to complications caused by the choreography.
Several - hour burial and liturgy attended the patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Irinej, bishops and other church dioceses, as well as representatives of other Orthodox churches.
Also present were representatives of the Catholic Church and Islamic Religious Community, state officials, including Montenegrin Parliament Speaker Alexa Beqiq, Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic, representatives of the political parties of the new parliamentary majority.
Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq and Republika Srpska leader Milorad Dodik also attended the funeral.
Patriarch Irinej addressed the gathering, saying that the Amfilohije minister left for the wombs “love for Kosovo and Metohija and the renewal of the church in Lovqen”.
The clergy and citizens present Sunday did not comply with the measures of the National Coordination Body for Infectious Disease (NKT), where because of the coronary pandemic, the collection of more than 100 persons is prohibited, as citizens are obliged to wear masks and respect physical distance.
But measures against the Coronervirus have been massively violated in the last two days.
A very small number of priests and believers had masks, physical distances were disrespectful, those present approached the coffin, and kissed the deceased's hand, as well as praying with the same spoon.
Mitrovici of the Serbian Orthodox Church Amfilohije has been the leader of the Metropolitan in Montenegro in the last 30 years.
In Montenegro, only during Saturday were 275 new cases of Corleone and seven victims registered.
In total, from the beginning of the pandemic until now, Montenegro has recorded 18,341 cases of coronary. Of them, 301 patients have died and 3,957 are still active. /Rel
