Katalin Denciu was named hero by Romania's prime minister, Ludovic Orban, following his act of humanity and the soul of sacrifice he showed.
Dr Denciu was transferred to Belgium's military hospital after suffering second and third-degree burns at 40% of his body.
At least 10 patients lost their lives after an electric spark scorched a good surgery at the Covid Hospital in Piatra Neamt in Romania this Saturday.
