Pristina's first Shpend Ahmeti has published the municipality's plan to help businesses hit by pandemic. He has announced that they will share grants for businesses directly affected by Covid-19. Ahmeti's full announcement:
The 5m-euro business fund will begin Monday's implementation on 23 November. Any business, which has a circulation of up to 50,000 euros a year and which has suffered losses from the pandemic, will be able to apply for grant-shaped assistance from the Pristina Community.
The application is simple, it will be online and will be open in 10 days. The Pristina municipality has many businesses and this fund may only be a small fraction of the loss, but Pristina with all capacities will help all those in need, in hopes that we will soon have other packages from the state. Help is expensive, and it's for small businesses.
As soon as you apply, the system will connect with the Tax Administration's data, to facilitate your form so that it will not waste time in the data filling. The aim of the grant is not to fight informity, so we do not ask for evidence of paid taxes from registered workers. However, the business activity that applies should be on the list of activities banned this year or in activities that are indirectly affected by the closure. The distribution of funds will be transparent, and since the application is online, the process can be monitored by Communists, Executive and Municipal Framework at any time.
Your taxes are your money, and they're used for you. In normal time, through projects and services, and in times of crisis through subsidies and direct aid.
