The Kosovo Gastronom Association has even cited radical forms as possibilities of commitment against Kosovo government measures.
On Friday, the chairman of this association was handcuffed for a protest, Periscope follows.
They cited 400,000 workers, plus their families, which if only half of them were to destabilise the whole pandemic and political situation in the country.
After the protests, the Gastronom Society again held extraordinary meetings with members of the association. This meeting says that “we as leaders after all discussions with members of the Kosovo Gastronomous Association, along with various businesses that will be affected by the upcoming decision, unanimously agreed that if future decision-making decisions do not be subsidised or backed with concrete strategic plans for coverage of the damages, and Paco for subvening the workers' pay lines, subsisting rent spending, helping pay credit interest, sharing of grants that contribute to the gasmoire, which we pledge to any opposition to closing or cutting any possible schedules, including local protests or non-compacts, or other local protests.
Furthermore, the closures without support being made by the government are said to be unacceptable.
We, like the Kosovo Gastronom Associations, are co-operating with all the families most affected with COVID-19, and especially with those who have already lost loved ones, because we are also part of this people and we have been infected by this virus, but also already felt. But these kinds of closures without any support, as the RKS Government claims, are unacceptable to us as associations, along with our forty thousand workers and their families! Dedicated to provide unlimited assistance to support and rescue gastronomy, in overcoming this crisis manifested with smaller consequences from now on. Hopefully, we will be allowed to work and in your understanding!” says the association's announcement.
