The BBC's 4 April 1999 video sensationalised the world for the massacre of Serbs in Kosovo's Great Krusha. But the BBC broadcast only 2 minutes of the video, which had 45 minutes of footage.
That was also the reason UNMIK urgently addressed Krusha the Great to contact Milaim Bellanica, who had seen the Serb massacre and who had mustered up courage at risk of life, documenting it with film pictures. This is Milaim Bellanica's statement in April 2019 about the material he shot.
“on BBC for the first time has been transmitted. He's got the copy, and then I gave the original to Lulzim Basha”, Bellanica said.
He further relates his meeting with the UNMIK envoy, which included Lulzim Basha.
Are you Milaim Bellanica? I said yes. Do you want to get down? I'm downstairs and they've taken me to the living room like a kitchen. From that moment until 6 o'clock in the morning, statements that I witnessed filmed me as evidence and sent them to him. They got the original copy I gave Lulzim Basha. Basha has been the translator of The Hague trial, he has come with her. There was a Raj Morgen, Indian was with him, I never forgot his name. I talked to him about giving him the tape, but getting me out of here. Even though The Hague tribunal doesn't do that, they helped me. They didn't do what they promised me. They left me in Albania and left me in misery”, Bellanica said.
In addition to these brief minutes no further evidence exists, since the shocking tape of Bellanica, the original is in Basha's hands, at least as witness Bellanica declares in his testimony recently and Top Channel after the chief democrat publicly denied meeting Bellanica several days ago and even taking the tape with the testimony.
You're very good at talking, but you know exactly what I did myself, when you came to Kukes and you said you better watch me as The Hague worker. I'm surprised that you can tell me I'm lying to the person I'm alive, I'm alive, you're right. I'm not leaving you. You're out of me.
But these images have disappeared, and for this enigma, it remains for the video where 255 inhabitants of the Krusha area are claimed to be victims. In the 2019 interview, Bellanica also mentions Serbian names, but cannot already be verified after the tape has disappeared and that The Hague International Court is not dealing with the crimes of Serbs, focusing the battle on punishing those who fought for Kosovo's liberation, to former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
