Chairman The PDK, Kadri Veselini, has visited two companies in Mitrovica, which they say as many other companies, have been severely damaged by the panedmia.
He writes:
Today I visited Viprint and Mitrovica, two serious Mitrovica companies that, like most private sector, have been severely damaged by the pandemic. The PDK is the natural ally of private businesses like these two because they serve as motors of development and are the largest tax contributors to the state budget. I expressed gratitude for the owners of these businesses, their hard workers, as well as for the entire private sector of Kosovo that keeps our economy standing.
Sadly, the central and local government has neglected them and has not come to their aid to escape damage from the pandemic. Not only do you penalise them with inspectors who act arbitraryly and impose heavy unaffordable fines.
They need more funds, subsidies, soft loans with long-term women, as well as increased consumption of local products and services. The approach of winter makes the situation even more serious, so it is necessary that they be helped as quickly as possible.
