The ship will be in the area from October 12th to October 20th and will carry out activities, including the south of the Greek island of Megiddo, according to a message issued by the sea warning system. NAVTEX.
Athens has called the Turkish move a “direct threat to peace”.
In August, the two countries held rival military exercises in strategic waters between Cyprus and the Greek island of Crete, as part of clashes for the right to natural gas exploration.
Greece claims rights over the waters around its island of Kastelorizo, but Turkey says the longest coastline makes territory a legitimate area for its ships.
Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez said on Monday that Turkey “will continue to seek, dig and protect its rights”.

Greece and Turkey have agreed to start dialogue on resolving disputes, following NATO's mediation.
But Turkey's latest move questions the dialogue process.
