Increasing cases with COVID-19, France sets police hours in nine cities

The police hour will enter into force from Saturday and will last for at least four weeks, Macron said in a televised address Wednesday.
The state of emergency was also declared.
“Massat will stop people from visiting restaurants and making private house calls during evening and night”, Macron said.

Schools will remain open and people will be able to travel among the regions during the day.
