Costett: The parties leave the tactics for the laws, the Washington Agreement should respect each Government

The U.S. ambassador Philip Costnett, who says that there are many examples of political parties dating when they wanted to pass any law.
Kostett says commitment of political parties is needed to put public interest ahead of the political one.
I think we've seen that parties can get together to pass laws when they want to. It takes commitment by all parties to put public good ahead of political tactics. One such example was shown when the Istanbul Convention” was voted, Costett said.
American diplomat has said that in parliamentary systems such as Kosovo, governments are created and reformed all the time, but adds that one of the principles of diplomacy is “that governments remain responsible for their ancestors' obligations”
Finally, Costett has said that despite changes that could take place in the current government and regardless of who will be in the future in government, he must honour the pledges made in Washington.
“If there are changes in government composition and any future government in Kosovo and Serbia, it must honour the pledges made in Washington. These are vows that have been meant for political gain, but for the benefit of the citizens of both countries”, Philip Costnet has finished.
While Costett has agreed to declare whether there should be reconfiguration of the Hoti government and about Vetevendosje's request for new elections.
