The US Food and Bars Administration said that Welkyur, the name of the medicine brand, reduces healing time on average for five days.
“Veckyury is the first treatment for COVID-19 to receive approval of the Food and Bars Administration”, this agency said through a statement.
The statement also states that the drug was adopted “for use in adults and pediatric patients, 12 years old and older and weighing at least 40 kilograms”.
The World Health Organization said last week that remdesiviriviria has little or no effect on patient survival.
O The BSH said it was based on its studies, but medicine producer Gilead dismissed these findings.
Remdesiviritri has been authorized only for emergency use in the United States since May.
Lately, the drug has also been given to American President Donald Trump, who has proved positive with the disease caused by the Coronavirus, COVIDD-19.
Trump, who was diagnosed on October 2nd, has recovered.
