“Spain currently numbers about 47 million people, and we will need eight or nine million people to preserve the active population at the same level”, noted Jose Luis Escrivea, minister of Social Security during the OCDE Forum on Migration.
“We will need millions and millions of immigrants in the coming years”, he said, alongside several other ministers and senior officials of the organisation.
