solemn Academy “Thank you Albania”, assemble Albanian leaders

This academy is organised in gratitude to Albanians and Albania, for offering hospitality and the brotherly love we have experienced in the most difficult moments in Kosovo's new history.

Even top institutional leaders President Hashim Thaci, incumbent Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, VV head Albin Kurti, former President Fatmir Sejdiu, and so on, have participated in this solemn academy.

Bishop Don Viktor Sopi, by Caritas Kosova, expressed thanks to every family and Albanian institutions for the support of the Kosovo people in 1999.

Kosovo had the pleasure of doing this thanks at the temple named Peter Bogdani to tell the institutions of Albania to say thank you when it was a Bible program”.

“When love is divided it gets bigger, I say thank Albania”, he said.

My Lord Dode Gjergji, said that even though 1999 was terrible, demonstrating love and hospitality from the people of Albania has made this pain easier.

“Viti 1999 was a terrible year, but if we want to look at the positive dimension then it has been the year of demonstrating Albanian love and generosity in Albania where the doors of the hearts toʹi accept brothers from Kosovo who have been violently expelled from their homes”, he said.

“The help was immediate, comprehensive and varied. I think these people deserve a thank you. Such gratitude has not been missed. That would suffice if we did not have the support of churches and other religious institutions”, he stressed.
