Rexhep Selimi optimistic about coalition

Asked why the agreement is not being reached, Selimi says the LV is seeking partnership and a partner to move towards accomplishing the will of citizens.

“We are looking for partnership and partner to go towards realising the will of citizens. We have not yet made full agreement with our partners. I hope that this change will be realized even with government making, you've normally seen that many challenges have come up that the LV” cannot be blamed for, he adds.

According to Selimi, his party has done everything to make this deal.

“We've done everything for this deal to be made, to have a functional government that exposes organised crime against corruption. We have the mandate for prime minister, there is no lack of call, we are still calling this partner. We have said even before elections that change should change with change, not with the same. We with the LDK have had co-operation even before the elections as opposition”, he declares.

According to him, there is still hope. He says it remains in the hands of the LDK to implement the will of citizens.

There's definitely hope and opportunity, our chance and duty to do so. I may be a little reserved, not one of the negotiating groups, but whatever we expect the LDK to give the possibility of implementing the will of citizens”, he says.

Rexhep Selimi has confirmed once again that he will not make the decision to dismiss Glauk Konjufca from the position of chief parliament.

“We cannot forget the fact that LDK has voted Chairman Konjufca for Speaker of the Parliament is looking unnecessaryly meaningless the demand to go back. Though they may say it was an uncoordinated decision, it was not, for we asked that they should give us the name of the ruler of the assembly. Whatever happened on December 26th is difficult to return, the LDK should not be linked to something that is difficult to resolve”, he adds.

LV MP says there may be people within Isa Mustaf's party who oppose reaching the agreement.

From now on we have to walk because we have very big work to go out with, the very fact that who is against this coalition shows nature... I don't know if there's a counter within LDK, I can say there's no opposition within the LV against the coalition, there's otherwise a positive push, maybe within LDK”, he adds, as he comments on last night's meeting with internationals.

Selimi has also responded to incumbent Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who has sometimes called him a fraud, Albin Kurtin.
