Nazmi Rrustemi, the killed forest inspector in Pristina municipality, has reportedly witnessed at The Hague Special Court.
He was found killed with firearms a few days ago, while reporting that the victim was a witness at The Hague institution took place only last week.
And the case has been discussed by the Court's Specialised Chambers in The Hague.
Angela Grip, from the media office of this institution, has told the Serbian news agency “Tanjug” that witness protection is a priority, but that they cannot speak if there are witnesses killed by this court.
From this, however, the Court has said that killing in question is the competence of Kosovo's Special Prosecutor, but that their primary priority is witness protection.
Even from EULEX, no details have been made whether the Rrustemi was a protected Special Witness.
According to them, information on potential witnesses should not be public.
63-year-old Nazmi Rrustemi was killed a month ago in Pristina. He worked as a forest inspector in the municipality as the same man had been interviewed some time before the assassination, family members had confirmed it.
