A British man who lives in the center of the deadly coronavirus eruption is risking his life to stay with his Chinese wife because the authorities refused to let him return with his wife.

According to British media, the British will be evacuated from Wuhan on Thursday and placed in quarantine for two weeks at a military base in the United Kingdom, as the number of global dead is increasing and the deadly virus has affected about 6,000 people.

Benito Crolla, 38, and his mother Joan, 75, could be on a plane back to Great Britain, but he says they have no choice but to stay with Maddie Wu, 38, after she was banned from leaving the country because she is Chinese.

As it becomes known, the former pilot fell in love with his wife after meeting on the app for Tantan meetings when he traveled for an annual one-month vacation.

He says he would fear for Maddie's safety if he would leave her and claims she is a key figure in the care of his mother, who suffers from the department and needs regular care.

Yehan resident has charged Britain and Chinese authorities with “handling the coronavirus crisis, claiming that his family has been abandoned and lied, with mixed messages and poor communication”.

The former pilot says he received an e-mail from the Office for Foreign Affairs on Tuesday that said the entire family would be able to be transported by plane.

However, their enthusiasm was shattered when a second e-mail Wednesday meant it would not be possible for Chinese citizens to leave, not even with their mates
