Political science professor at Pristina University, Ardian Kastrati, has said the Orthodox Church historically usurped the political functions of Serbia's state.
I would say this is the only “aplanetary Russian user in the Balkans through which the Kremlin claims to extend its influence. The goal is to send money to geostrategic interests against America”, Kastrati said.
Kastrati says Russia has built churches in Skopje with oligarch funds in order to extend its influence as much as possible.
Professor says there is no room for concern, as according to him America 20 years ago has determined that Adriatic waters dare not be affected.
“We are lucky to be in this area of the United States, but our services dare not have comfort in this direction”, he told RTV Dukagini.
Kastrati says Patriarch Irinej has sometimes publicly appealed that “whatever was dealt with to Serbia by violence could be returned by force”.
According to him, this is a message for Vucinciqi, told that “if she makes compromises with Kosovo she no longer returns, but with violence we can return”.
