British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Twitter that he has signed today the Great Britain exit agreement, envisioned on 31 January.
After three years of political crisis in Great Britain since the 2016 referendum, Brex is now expected to be ratified by the European Parliament next Wednesday, before partition officially enters into force.
The European Union announced today the appointment of the first ambassador to Great Britain, which will take its positions starting on February 1st.
“Portuguese, Joao Vale de Almeida will take over the chairmanship of the delegation that will represent the Union in Great Britain”, European diplomacy chief Josep Borrell announced in a communique.
Great Britain and the European Union completed the latest procedures before their division. The presidents of European institutions signed the divorce agreement today and aired it to the European Parliament for ratification on January 29th, the latest act under the finalisation of the secession by a united union. / A T S/
