The 6.8 magnitude quake, which has rocked Turkey's Elazig city during late hours Friday, has caused the collapse of many buildings.
Health Minister Fahretttin Koca has said the earthquake that struck Sivric earlier in the region of Elazig, increasing the death toll.
Fahretttin Koca announced that the number of people who died in the 6.8 magnitude earthquake has gone to 39.
Minister Koca stressed that the situation of those who survived the earthquake was good and said: “We have not lost any of those injured, there are no injuries in critical situation”.
Turkey has been hit by many more earthquakes after the major earthquake. The country experienced approximately 505 more magnitude quakes from 0 to 5.1.
