In Tirana, the court imposed arrest measures for a large number of local officials and construction chiefs on charges of abuse of office, forged documents and construction without permission.

The Albanian prosecutor is conducting investigations concerning the responsibilities of the devastating consequences of the November 26th earthquake, which came from violating construction laws.

The Tirana court decided today to arrest seven former officials and officials, another 12 with house arrest, as well as 11 others were required to appear periodically to justice institutions who are convicted of legal violations in the construction documents of a host of targets destroyed by the November 26th earthquake.

Under “charges The use of task”, “falsification of documents” and “Construction without permission” have been deployed officials and former local officials, construction inspectors, architects, engineers and builders at the Kashar Farka and Vora.

Investigations against them began immediately after the November 26th earthquake, when some administrative units around Tirana declared uninhabitable about 130 palaces and over 200 buildings with severe earthquake injuries.

The court today reviewed security measures of 30 former officials, builders and engineers, part of the code named “Earthquake”, who are charged with violations that caused the injuries of dozens of buildings during the last quake.

In many cases they signed construction permits with lack of documents, signed documentation for unfinished work, hid the quality of building materials, and manipulated acts of collusion of new items, as well as other documents during the construction process.

Another charge against some is the “build without permission”, as far as additions and abuses are concerned in the existing buildings, as well as violations in the given permits.

Prosecutors of several districts immediately launched investigations after the November 26th earthquake, about the administrative causes related to the victims and the numerous consequences it caused.

Ahead of Tirana was the Durres prosecutor who signed 17 arrests for builders, former officials and public officials and supervisors and co-ordinators on charges ranging from abuse of office to killing residents.

The opposition, in turn, expressed scepticism over these arrests in terms of the degree of responsibilities related to irregular buildings.

The Democratic Party demanded that higher officials be arrested in earthquake-hit municipalities, widely known as symbols of corruption, those who sign irregular construction permits, and that city concrete have turned into major business, transforming construction into one of the most profitable sectors of the Albanian criminal world.

The November 26 earthquake caused 51 dead, a thousand injured, 14,000 homeless, and thousands of destroyed buildings.

A large number of donors are expected to gather on February 17th in Brussels to help Albania in the reconstruction processes, while judicial processes with the responsibilities of these disasters are due to carry out its justice system.
