A member of the Kosovo Police has been arrested today in northern Mitrovica.
The same, according to the communiqué issued by the IPK, is suspected of misuse of official duty and bribery.
Based on initial accepted data, the suspect (police official with initial D. K) has demanded a considerable amount of money (25,000 euros) from a citizen to make it possible to transfer equipment from the Zvecan municipality to the municipality of Gracanica.
Even during the arrest, 12 thousand and 500 euros have been seized to the suspect.

Kosovo Police Inspectorate investigators through operational routes have accepted information that a North Mitrovica Directorate police official was involved in an illegal activity.
Based on initial accepted data, the suspect (police official with initial D. K) has demanded a considerable amount of money (25,000 euros) from a citizen to make it possible to transfer equipment from the Zvecan municipality to the municipality of Gracanica.
IPK investigators have launched the investigative action company that has included collecting additional information in full co-ordination with the Founding Prosecutor in Mitrovica.

Based on the Criminal Procedure Code, IPK investigators have secured the warrant for secret measures by the Mitrovica Foundation Court, including the secret measures of the investigation, respectively.
This ordinance has been implemented today by IPK investigators who have also been assisted by specialised units of the Kosovo Police and resulted in the arrest of the alleged D.K. Police Officer (Kosovo Police member of the Fast Response Unit Regional Directorate).
During the arrest of the suspect, 12,500 euros (two thousand and five hundred euros) have been found, allegedly accepted by the complainer/victim.
Suspects arrested by IPK investigators with the prosecution's decision have been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours.
