To push ahead with the agenda of co-operation and economic exchange between the two states, Thaci has initially held a meeting with representatives of Japan's economic interests, as well as with the deputies of the Japanese Parliament coming from this region.
At this joint meeting, Thaci has stressed that now it is time to create some concrete examples of Japanese investments in Kosovo. He has said the environment of doing business in Kosovo is the most competitive in the region.
We are the 40th nation in the World Bank's ranking for doing business. Kosovo can easily become a centre of Japanese businesses and investments targeting the European market because we have unhindered access to the world's largest market, the EU's”, it added.
Thaci has said Kosovo is also interested in exporting its products to Japan, which are being exported to other countries of the world.
We will soon appoint an honorary consul in Osaka, which will be a bridge between states, peoples and our businesses”, President Thaci has warned.
On the other hand, officials of this meeting, members of Japan's Parliament from this area, Yasuhid Nakayama, Naomi Tokaschi, and the president of the Osaka Economic Oda, Tsutomu Miyagi have expressed happiness in the level of economic co-operation between the two states, stressing the need for this co-operation to grow even more.
Also present at the meeting were representatives of various Japanese Odays, the Cansai Association of corporate directors, as well as of the Kansai Business Federation, which has a membership of 1300 businesses, organisations and corporations.
Kosovo's participation in the world's largest fair has been confirmed at the “Osaka Expo 2025”, where our country has secured a pavilion for promoting investment opportunities and business products.
