Sejdiu: Politics is like the sun, if you stay close to it you burn, if you stay away from heat

Kosovo Parliament deputy Korab Sejdiu has said he has made the decision not to run in the 6 October elections, as he sees his contribution can be made even by not sitting in the Assembly.

“Should have thought or run again. There have been many elements since I came to the conclusion that I did not have the 100% focus of going on”, Sejdiu said, reports Klan Kosova.

We're going through some kind of social crisis and we have to think about doing more of ourselves for the country to change direction because it's in the wrong direction. Politics is like the sun, you can stay too far or near if you stay close to it, you don't have heat”.

If his decision not to be part of any lists, nor of the LDK nor of Vetevendosje, who have had offers for it, has said they have nothing to do with despair.

Sejdiu in the Electoral Magazine has said, however, that his potential has offered both the LDK and the Vetevendosje Movement to parties, which he has believed must reach agreement on pre-election coalitions and believe they should make up the new government.

“In my opinion was a formula that would ensure a convincing victory of the two main Albanian parties. It would create a general spirit that would enable that former opposition bloc to return to government and push some reforms into the country before”.
