AS Roma taught the world about fighting racism in football

There is a myth that anyone deserves a voice, that there are two sides to be heard about each issue. That's not true. Racists deserve only contempt; they deserve no hearing. Let the racists explain themselves only to normalize their perverted view of the world. This was true in [...]
Let the racists explain themselves only to normalize their perverted view of the world.
This was true in the past days in Italy. Andrea DelléAquila, a fan of Rome, sent a direct message to footballer Juan Jesus in the Instagram. Words directed at Brazilian defenders were disgusting and cruel: “You deserve to be in the zoo, you fucking monkey, pussy. ”
Jesus plays for a team DelléAquila supports. Jesus was terrified. And, 26-year-old Rome and I refused to quit, writes Independent, translates Periscope.
The club reported the post to the police, and the Instagram stopped the fan from accounting for life.
But then Rome did something that no one expected. Knowing that fanaticism was a bigger problem to address, the club pressured authorities. “A Are you serious about fighting racism in Italian football @SerieA,” posted them on Twitter.
It was a bold move from Rome to a number of fronts. They are the first team in Italy to have convicted a fan of permanent ban prior to the recent amendments to the law, leaving the burden to police to remove these individuals from the stadiums.
You asked Serie A's [Italy's] league at a public forum was extraordinary. There had been too many incidents of racism and very little response to them.
In general, the reaction in Italy to this post was positive. Prime Minister Giusepe Ctete made a post praising Rome, as did a large number of politicians.
Rome uses social media brilliantly and has a dynamic vision of how this game should be developed. They were not afraid of being disabled by the public.
Their posting basically said, “this isn't just about us and Jesus. This is about football and society. It's a problem for everyone. We lost leadership. Are the people who lead the sport willing to lead us?
An interview was then conducted with fan DelléAquila, where poor questions were asked to the point that they did the rest of the work. You made a mistake. I don't want to reason,” he said, then criticising Jesus and his heart club, Rome, for breaking his privacy by telling him his name and embarrassing him.
Then he began to be victimized as to how he had received threats and how people had ridiculed him and so on.
This statement was allowed to remain unaffirmed. Then the paper asked him a question “Are you racist?” We all know the answer the fan gave. Such people are never racist, are they? They are deeply misunderstood. Haha.
What if I come home now, and I find 10 black guys waiting for me? Did Juan Jesus think about it?
Rome's Hierarchy was shocked by this article.
