Large number of prosecutors to monitor elections

These statements she made at a meeting organised by the D4D, attended by officials from the CEC, PZAP, State Prosecutor and the Kosovo Judiciary Council.
All these sides are signatories of the memorandum of co-operation for the election process.
In the media communiqué, the purpose of this meeting was to discuss the preparation of institutions, co-operation and co-ordination of activities for early parliamentary elections, awareness of the prevention of possible manipulations, as well as the role of civil society in this election process.
The National Co-ordinator for Election in State Prosecutor Laura Pula has declared that the State Prosecutor's institution has already appointed for each regional prosecutor, and will engage a considerable number of prosecutors, where they will monitor the entire election process, as well as have suggested that in cases where the evental problems are presented, all necessary measures will be taken under the competencies and Law.
Meanwhile, representatives of other institutions have presented their plans regarding their commitments, as well as stated that all are dealing with various activities, given the competencies each institution has in store.
Also, it has been stressed by those present that the awareness of citizens for preventing possible election manipulations is more than important, since in cases where there may be claims of misuse of votes, Kosovo Police and the State Prosecutor will act immediately.
Also, those in attendance agreed to extend an invitation to all non-governmental organisations, civil society and media to co-operate closely with the upper institutions, money, during and after the election process.
