President Thaci participated in the inauguration of the “Women in Energy” programme

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, has participated in the inauguration of the “Women in Energy” programme and in proclaiming the 2019/2020 academic year in “Des Moines Area Parisy College> (DMACC) as the Year of Kosovo. President Thaci, in his speech at this ceremony held at the DMACC campus in Des Moines, Ioua, spoke happily with the “Women in Energy” programme, and with the involvement of 28 girls from Kosovo as students who will specialise in the energy sector.
“This programme is unique on many plains”, President Thaci said, adding further that the first “offers professional preparation for an important sector in Kosovo, namely the energy sector. The second, supports women's greater involvement in the energy sector, thus contributing to the overall empowerment of women in Kosovo society. And the third, marks the expansion of co-operation between Iowas and Kosovo in another important sector -- energy sector”, President Thaci said.
Addressing 28 students from Kosovo, President Thaci told them he wants to complete the studies successfully and take the role they belong to in the society.
I want you to complete your studies successfully, and take the role that is due you in the industry and in society in Kosovo. You will be inspired for girls and other women in Kosovo”, the president has said.
President Thaci also thanked the US Congress MCC, their project in Kosovo led by Petrit Selimi, as well as “DMACC” to start this program.
