Pelosi turned out this week in support of the investigation following allegations that the US president had sought political favour from the Ukraine chairman to assist him in next year's presidential elections.

During a telephone conversation, carried out on July 25th, the US president is heard asking his Ukrainian counterpart that his state bodies launch investigations against political opponent Joe Biden, and his son, Hunter Biden, who was formerly part of the board of an energy company in Ukraine, writes “Reuters”.
