Pelosi: Public opinion is supporting investigations against President Trump

House of Representatives in the United States head Nancy Pelosi has said public opinion is already on the side of the investigation into President Donald Trump. Her statement came after publishing new data for the White House head's conversations with his Ukrainian counterpart. Pelos this week [...]

Pelosi turned out this week in support of the investigation following allegations that the US president had sought political favour from the Ukraine chairman to assist him in next year's presidential elections.

The head of one of the most important institutions in the United States had already called for development of investigations against the president, but they were added after the publication of the special investigative report Robert Mueller, concerning Russia's intervention in the 2016 elections.

The public's stance has changed completely. It may change many now, but for now the American people are making another decision”, Pelosi said during a rally of journalists, organised by the news page “Texas Tribune”.

“The president of the United States would withdraw military aid, provided by taxpayers, to destroy the leader of another country, if he doesn't do him a political favour, that's what it is, very clear”, she added.

During a telephone conversation, carried out on July 25th, the US president is heard asking his Ukrainian counterpart that his state bodies launch investigations against political opponent Joe Biden, and his son, Hunter Biden, who was formerly part of the board of an energy company in Ukraine, writes “Reuters”.
