The three largest parties -- the Vetevendosje Movement, the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Democratic Party of Kosovo -- have decided to enter the race in the October 6th elections separately. It is estimated that these elections will measure the real forces of parties, but will also contribute to increasing their markets after the elections, writes the newspaper “Zer” today.
Most MPs' parties in the past legislature, The PDK, LVV's LDK, has decided that in the 6 October national election race, it measures its forces as alone. Although LVV's LDK had created sympathy for each other during the time they were in opposition, a pre-election co-operation between them did not occur after the failure of both subjects regarding the prime minister's position.
But unlike them, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Social Democrat Party (PSD) linked the first pre-election coalition, thus leaving behind the resentment they had with each other over the years. Soon after them were joined by the New Kosovo Alliance (AKR) and the Social Democrat Initiative, whose leaders stressed they have joined to create the backbone of the 6 October election victory.
Representatives of the three parties -- the LDK, the LVV and the PDK -- say convinced that the decision to enter the election alone would bring them more votes from citizens and, therefore, will come out victorious from these elections.
On the other hand, connoisseurs of political issues see as positive the fact that parties will measure alone, but there is a danger that this will contribute to increasing party markets after the elections.
