MPJ: No recognition warnings

Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj stated days ago that soon 10 world states could withdraw recognition of Kosovo. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has rejected this, while former Kosovo diplomacy leaders blame the same government dictatorship for attracting and failing to bring new recognitions to Kosovo, [...]

It has been a year and a half since Kosovo has not received new recognition from any country in the world. Kosovo has been recognised by 116 states, but some of them, more precisely 13 states, have declared that they have revised the decision to recognise it and have subsequently withdrawn it. Kosovo's recognition by these states has confirmed these days in the media even incumbent Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj, who has even warned of opportunities for attracting other recognitions of Kosovo's independence the following days.

Hoxhaj has indicated that there is information about 10 states will revote Kosovo's recognition.

Such a thing for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is unstable.

Foreign Affairs Ministry Deputy Minister Rayhane Vunqi has told “Zerin” that Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj's statements are groundless.

She stressed that Kosovo has received no warning from any state for attracting recognitions. We don't have any warning such as Foreign Affairs Minister. If Deputy Prime Minister Hoxhaj has any information, it is good to share with the government cabinet that is in office and not to come up with such statements, because they do not honor him or the state of Kosovo. But we officially do not have any warning of any state of withdrawal of”, Vunqi has declared.

She has also commented on the Czech president's statement, adding that his positions are at odds with Czechia's official stance against Kosovo. “We all know the Czech president's position towards Kosovo and normally expect such statements on the visit, which he will have in Belgrade. But that will not happen. We are in constant contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which officially denies this. So, as far as the Czech state's stance is concerned about Kosovo will not change anything”, Vunqi added.

Wuniqi's approach as one of the problems with recognition also cited Serb lobbying and aggressive propaganda.
