21 tonnes of broken meat had been confiscated and then destroyed in the warehouses of the Islamic Community in the month we left behind.

This amount of meat was destined to be distributed through different Kosovo cities in honour of the Kurban Bajrami holiday, writes news.net.

On the issue in question, the Islamic Community of Kosovo had formed the Detective Commission at the meeting held 29 August.

Through another media communique, BIK acknowledged that a suspicious amount of this meat was distributed to the people, but that, according to them, this amount was subsequently withdrawn.

And those responsible for the scandal in question seem not to escape the hands of justice.

That's because the State Prosecutor has already launched investigations into the case.

This is about news.net has confirmed by Laureta Ulaj, spokeswoman for the Pristina Prosecutor.

She has said she is working on investigating and lighting this case.

“Referring to your request for information, regarding the case in question, we announce that the Founding Prosecutor in Pristina, is conducting investigations until the lighting of this case”, she said.

We stress, that the headship of the Islamic Community of Kosovo, on 21 August 2019, had demanded from AWK, to give professional opinion on the safety of an amount of meat offerings that was in the warehouse, which was rented.

The AWK has been contacted after the suspicion that activists have staged and part of the sacrificial meat beneficiaries.

Upon receiving this concern, BIK's leadership has initially interrupted distribution and later made the withdrawal of the scattered meat.

AUVK inspectors have found that the meat found in the warehouse is not sure of consumption and that the same had to be eliminated, which has happened, so it has been eliminated on the same day under AWK's supervision, respecting all procedures that presuppose laws into force.

During the Kurban Bajrami holiday, 1391 cow heads had been slaughtered by BIC.

The event for slaughtering the offerings was held at two slaughterhouses, one in Hungary, where 1150 cow heads and one in Istog, where 241 cow heads were slaughtered.

Missing meat belongs to an amount of slaughtered meat in Istog, which, according to AWK inspectors, has not been frozen to the right size.
