According to foreign media, President Hassan Rouhan denounced the presence of foreign forces in the Persian Gulf and said Iran would present a peace plan after the United States enemy ordered reinforcements in the region.
His speech came as he and his top military men were greeted by soldiers marching alongside them in narrow union in front of the Aiothal Khomeni temple in Tehran today.
In his speech, Rouhan urged foreign powers to stay away from the Gulf and said that if they are sincere, then they should not make our region the site of an arms race. Your presence has always brought pain and misery.
He added: The farther you keep yourself from our region and our nations, the more secure there will be.
He continued: We are even willing to ignore their past mistakes... since today the situation is such that enemies of Islam and the region, namely America and Zionism, want to abuse disputes between us.
Our logic is the logic of a Persian Gulf whose security comes from within. Foreign forces can cause problems and uncertainty for our people and our region.
The military parade marked today the 39th anniversary of the start of the eight-year war with Iraq, which began when Saddam Hussein invaded Iran in 1980 and is known as the Holy Protection.
Among those present, Iran displayed the Khordad-3 air defence system that brought down an American fears in June.
It also showed an Iranian middle-ray missile that can travel up to 2,000km (1,250 miles), which means it can be within the borders of the Israeli and US base in the region.
Similar parades were held in large cities and cities throughout the country, including the port city of Bandar Abbasi near the Strait of Hormuz.
State television showed a number of Iranian rapid attack ships, as well as air defence and other military equipment.
It also carried images of Iranian Revolutionary Guard naval forces crossing the side of a sailing ship, Telegrafi conveys.
Speaking at the military parade, Rouhan also discovered that Iran would present a peace plan to the United Nations within days.
Otherwise, tensions between Iran and the US and its allies have threatened to boil since May of last year, when President Donald Trump withdrew unilaterally from a 2015 nuclear agreement and later began to re-establish sanctions.
