Saudi Arabia has always been one of the most difficult places to allow tourists to visit by giving visas only for short-term business trips, religious pilgrimage, or family travelers to this country.
Details concerning the new visa scheme and broader tourism plans will be announced today at a Gala evening.
The highly conservative kingdom is in an effort to attract vacationers while seeking to diversify the country's economy and limit its dependence on oil.
