FIFA has denied claims that votes have been falsified and that they have been unjustly given to Lionel Mess.
Nicaragua's captain Juan Barrera had said he had not voted, despite FIFA having published that he had supported Messen for the award.
“Tutsport” reports the price was stolen from Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, a spokesman for the governing body told ESPN: “We have checked the voting documents submitted by the FA of Nicaragua and all documents have been signed and confirmed with the official FA seal of Nicaragua”.
“Compared to the ballots submitted by federation and those we published at FIFA.com, confirm that we have the right votes signed by the player. We're looking to the Nicaragua Football Federation to ask about this matter”.
He added to E The SPN that the Egyptian vote for Mohammed Salah was not taken into consideration because their signatures “were in large letters and thus did not appear valid”, while the voting “formats were also not signed by the general secretary [of the federation] something which is mandatory”.
Egypt's Football Federation also named two warning men to present the form of voting properly signed on August 19th”, during which time it was in chaos.
