Conflict Story Enver Sekiraqa- Triumf Riza

Shortly after the verdict, Shefqet Riza, the father of Triumf Riza, Kosovo police who was killed 12 years ago, has spoken after the second-time trial was handed down by the Court in Pristina for Enver Sekiraqen because of the inciting murder.

The authors of his son's murder, Riza has called them criminals, saying the sentence must be exemplary.

“To be punishment exemplary, so that criminals never commit crimes”

I haven't mixed up with the courts and had no reason to mix up, I believe the sentence could have been more capital”, the father of Triumf Riza has declared.

He has expressed dissatisfaction with the progress of the sentence.

Triumf Riza, the prominent police officer of the then Kosovo Police Service, was killed on August 30th 2007 by Arben Berisha, but the murder was prompted by Sekiraqa.

For the murder of Triumf Riza, Arben Berisha is sentenced to 35 years in prison, while Carnegie has not been enough to name Berisha as only the attractive “of the trigger”, while accusing Sekeraqu as ordering this murder.

Carney throughout the Sekiraq process named it the leader of the “group Sekiraqa”, while defence theories did not hesitate to call it conspiracy. Sekiraqa on the other side said this case was assembled by police, just as you assembled the gun incident at Ferizaj. Sekiraqa said he was in the eye of some powerful policy men who are convicted of war crimes.

Sekiraqa accused several EULEX prosecutors of leaking information to SHIK, while police accused him of stealing his coffee and money at his establishment during the raid following the assassination of Triumf Riza.

Of all these prosecution claims on one side and the protection of Sequirah on the other, the response went to two Polish judges, Arcadius Sedec and Mariola Pasnik, as well as local judge Naser Foniqi.

Where and how did it start?

Several witnesses who showed their testimony before the court, including Shefqes and Visar Riza, the father and brother of the late Riza said that the whole tragic story has a date, (even though it was never stated correctly), near the Pristina medical school, 2000 or 2001.

Triumf Riza along with several UNMIK police officers was making a routine patrol, there Riza stopped a car, while, according to the prosecutor, in the car was Enver Sekiraqa and this was the first meeting, of many (non-friendly) meetings to be followed by the Triumf Riza and Enverkiraqes.

Always according to these two witnesses, Sekiraqa as a difficult type, and despite his reputation, did not fully receive this police ban, while with a hand grenade, she threatened police officer Riza.

Sekiraqa on the other hand, during the entire process, strongly rejected this existence, he and his defense said that this incident the prosecution presents as the beginning of problems, in fact, never existed.

In contrast to this event, whose existence is questioned, in the chronology of the problem between Triumf Rizas and Sekirasha, the prosecution presented another example, Adelina Ishmael.

Adelina Ismajli, in the history of Triumf Riza and Enver Sekiraqes, has the main role, because according to the prosecution, the fact that Adelain was Enver Sequirah's girlfriend and then established a relationship with the late Triumf Riza was never forgotten by Sekiraqa.

The Sekiraqa's defense did not object to any connection, but said before the court that Sekiraqa had no grudge against Riza for this reason.

“Even another Sekeraq girlfriend, later became the Faithful Hasan girlfriend, but Sekiraqa never tried to hurt her”, Kosovar Kelmendi said in her final address.

However, Adelina Ismajli, the diva of the Kosovar Estrada, made it impossible for her role in this story to remain unknown.

Ismajli, who in Kosovo in the art of song broke many taboos during her performances with her extravagant dances and performances, and with intriguing texts such as “my army will make with Ibrahim Rugova”, was not at all in the judgment where a person who was being judged as her boyfriend was accused of inciting another person who was also pronounced as her boyfriend.

Ismajli, initially demanded that her testimony be given at the closed session, she demanded that indictee Sekiraqa be absent, and as long as the first request was approved second was refused.

Ishmael was at the tribunal, gave her testimony, but she was never seen by camera eyes, and oddly, she or her escort, photographed KALLXO.com journalists who were waiting in the courtyard of the palace of justice, posted on social networks and then erased them.

Adelaine's role and testimony in the history between Enver Sekiraqa and Triumf Riza will remain for many shadowy.

Always according to prosecutor Carney, Adelaine's association with Triumf Riza, gave him a different extent of conflict, Riza began to be pursued step by step, he burned cars, you picked up ambushes, got many threats.

Lawyers, witnesses and Sekiraq's family testified that Sekiraqa on the day of the assassination of Triumf Riza was at home, while prosecutor Carney says Sekiraqa was in town.

Judicial Process

The process before the Pristina Foundation Court began with reading the indictment that Sekiraq charged with three criminal acts, that of promoting the murder of Triumf Riza, duty and violation.

In the process, launched in October 2014, which lasted until May 17th of this year, dozens of witnesses testified, and many of the evidence before the court was provided by excluding the public.

Family members of the deceased, Shefqes and Wisar Riza gave their testimony blaming Sekeraq for losing their loved ones.

The Ismajli family, their testimony was given in closed court processes -- now the late Mouna Ismajli, Zafina Ismajli and Adela Ismajli -- testified, seeking advance exemption from the public.

Prosecutor Carney in his final address said that members of the Ishmael family had changed their statements, or had distanced themselves from the previous ones.

“The feeling of fear tried to cover it with a puffer”, Carney said describing the testimony of Adelina Ishmael.

In this process in court, many former colleagues of Triumf Riza, Besnik Hasani and Shpend Qrim also aroused the greatest interest, particularly tense, was Hasan's testimony.

The evidence of the condemned person convicted of killing Riza, Arben Berisha, also took place.

Berisha said that several times he was detained and beaten by Riza, and that was rejected by prosecutor Carney.

This conspiracy was dismissed by an expertise which made an institute from Croatia's Zagreb, while prosecutor Carney named the local expert's findings absurd and tragic.

All at the end of a process, whose until now balance is a prominent officer killed and about half a century ago convicted prison, prosecutor Carney and Sekiraq's defense exposed their closing arguments.

“Triumf Riza was a brave man who did not want to see his country fall into the hands of organised crime, and they killed him behind his back”, said prosecutor Carney, while “for the murder of Triumfi has been sentenced to capital punishment Arben Berisha, while the only blame of Sequirah is that he was found in the country and at the wrong time as a witness to a war crime. It was the eye of a powerful” structure, said Kosovar Kelmendi on the other side.
