The news has made it known by the Kosovo Police themselves, detailing the investigation, which they had started two weeks earlier.
Kosovo's “Police, namely the Regional Criminal and Corruption Investigation Unit Pristina, at the beginning of September 2019, have accepted the information; that Patenta Drivers Department officials in Pristina are allegedly taking bribes in order for patent candidates to pass the theoretical test. Police investigators following the collection of preliminary data, have announced justice bodies and secured the ordinance from the Constitutional Court in Pristina for secret investigation measures. After a two-week investigation, today in 18,09,2019, two people have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in criminal acts: “Using official position or authority”, “Brigancing” and “Contamination in the private sector”. The suspects have acted in co-operation, one as a mediator has accepted the money (in concrete case of $500, U.S.), and the other in the quality of the examiner helps in the process of the theoretical exam by showing the correct answers to”, the police report said.
Police have arrested suspects: G.K. 1973 birth year, m/k/sh and E.Zh. 1967 birth year, m/k/sh. During the search, in the presence of the defence attorney, 500 euros have been found in suspects used to apply the secret mass “Simplifying corruption activity”.
With the prosecutor's decision, two suspects are sent to 48 hours maintenance.
