Wessel: Through the fight against corruption at the Ministry of Finance today we have a more fair economy and equal opportunities

Chairman The PDK, Kadri Veselini, accompanied by Finance Minister Bedri Hamza, visited the Kosovo Tax Administration today, where it stressed that through the fight against corruption at the Ministry of Finance today we have a more fair and equal economy.

“We have achieved that through the fight against corruption with Minister Bedri Hamza, millions of euros will be saved, which will invest in support of entrepreneurs, innovative youth and capital projects”, Veselin said.

He said the ATK must continue the initial reforms and the extraordinary work it is doing, while stressing that capacities that will enable as much facilities as possible for all taxpayers.

Candidate of The PDK for Kosovo prime minister also said it would be the biggest supporter of businesses, which he said are the national assets of developing the country's economy.

No one dares violate Kosovo businesses. No one dares blackmail. They are the national assets of economic development and I will constantly support them more powerful because they develop Kosovo”, Veselin said.

Finance Minister Bedri Hamza said that in the first seven months of this year ATK has managed to register 11 per cent more budgets than the same period last year.

This growth in revenues has not taken place as a result of an increase in taxes for businesses, but simply as a result of efficiency and noncompromis change against negative phenomena. These ATK officials are state pillars. Now thanks to the support of Prime Minister Wessel with legal changes, they have initiated the seizures of illegal property and debt stocks have been reduced”, said Minister Hamza.

While ATK director Ilir amurtezaj said that thanks to the support and work of Minister Bedri Hamza, ATK has achieved many successes in reform and digitalisation that has enabled greater efficiency of work.
